Food is imperative in all our lives and at Matters of Taste, Perth's longest running and most popular cooking school, we make food our business.

Our culinary knowledge is vast drawing from professional training, practical experience and constant research. 

Whether subscribing to our online Cooking Club, attending classes or receiving our newsletter, however you chose to utilize our services we'll be generous with our teaching to inspire you.

Matters of Taste begun its’ life in the home kitchen of chef Tracey Cotterell in the Perth suburb of Bicton in Western Australia in 1997.

With a young family, Tracey wanted to work from home and knew she had much cooking knowledge to share. People started attending and they came to learn new delicious recipes that could be used in their kitchen. Many a convivial evening was spent around her workbench cooking, chatting and eating.

In 2011, fourteen years on, she continues to design and develop recipes with as much passion and excitement as in those early days. Her children have grown and today she takes delight in heading a team of outstanding and professional staff. The establishment is now situated in commercial premises and enjoys an international standard of design.
